It’s been four years since The Ultimate Fighter reality series premiered on Spike TV. From that project came several unforgettable characters and moments. But more than anything, the television show introduced the world to a bevy of new stars. Forrest Griffin, the former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, may lead the notable names still making waves in their respected divisions, but other fighters such as Kenny Florian, Diego Sanchez, Chris Leben, Nate Quarry, Stephan Bonnar, Josh Koscheck, and Mike Swick are still around, and all are still very relevant to UFC fans and executives.

He is Dan Miller, the International Fight League (IFL) and CageFighting Fury Championship (CFFC) Middleweight Champion. He is 11-1-1 in his career. He has won three straight in the UFC over highly touted up and comers. On the surface, February 7th’s Patriot Act event was all about showcasing the debut of Olympic wrestler Ben Askren, and after it was over the talk was about Askren’s successful debut in MMA, and Din Thomas’ successful debut at 145 lbs. However, the most dominant debut of the night might well have belonged to welterweight Tyron Woodley.  'T-Wood' would sit down with MMA Spot's J. Andrew Yount following his win to talk about his family, training, growing up in St. Louis, GDP4 and more.

Melvin Manhoef recently fought Mark Hunt as a late alternate at heavyweight, despite being normally a middleweight fighter at Dynamite 2008. Regardless of the size disadvantage, he knocked out the iron-jawed Samoan in 18 seconds. It was the first time Hunt was finished by knockout due to punches. To help celebrate his victory Melvin took a few moments to chat with MMA Spot.net's Chris McClain to talk about his career, and future.
