Some to mismanagement, some just never captured their target audience. However, one of the promotions making all the right moves in this industry is Illinois based Mayhem Promotions. And all signs point to bigger things from them.

The rodeo loving rancher went on to have an undefeated record of 28-0-1 as a kickboxer before competing in mixed martial arts. He was featured on season two of the reality series "TapouT" where he quickly became one of the more marketable fighters in the cast. His popularity has grown as he has climbed up the ladder in WEC, so much so that when he lost his recent lightweight title bout with Jamie Varner, the crowd booed loudly, although the judge's scores clearly had the champion winning the fight.

Brock Lesnar, Bobby Lashley, and Amir Sadollah all have something in common. Obviously it’s not the WWE championship, although Amir may be more charismatic and camera friendly than either of the former pro wrestlers. The similarities aren’t in their styles, backgrounds, weight, or any physical traits. What ties the three together are the lofty expectations of a 1-0 record, legions of fans, and millions of dollars worth of mar- keting.
