Sevak Magakian is a mixed martial arts fighter with a sincere love for fighting and a talent for getting his opponents to submit in the first round. Competing in and winning his first mixed martial arts fight at the age of 21, Magakian's strong entrance into the MMA world included a six match winning streak—all won by submission within the first round. The young Armenian's vicious submissions, aggressive personality, and years of training make him one of the most well-rounded fighters included in the cast of this season's "The Ultimate Fighter." MMA Spot's Breanna Armstrong recently sat down with Magakian to discuss being on the show, his future in the sport, and the determination behind his early success.
MMA Spot recently caught up with Matt Hughes protege and H.I.T. Squad standout, Matt Veach, who will be taking on British prospect Kenneth Rosfort-Nees at "Cage Warriors 38: Young Guns." He is best known for his time in the UFC, specifically for dominating Frankie Edgar in the first round of their clash at "The Ultimate Finale 10." Although he eventually fell short against the future champion, Veach showed tremendous potential. He is hoping that a win over the British lightweight is his ticket back to the big shows. We asked Veach about the current state of MMA, the anti-wrestler mentality being espoused by many fighters now, his comparisons to Matt Hughes, and more.
