More news on the bad knee front.

After undergoing surgery for a meniscus tear suffered 39 seconds into the third round of his fight with Anderson Silva, Patrick Cote was slated to return to action by this June at the latest.

Prior to the fight Cote put off a much needed knee surgery despite reaggravating his knee during his training.  Cote's decision proved to have drastic consequences for his immediate future.

Originally eyeing a June return, recent statements by Cote indicate that the earliest he will be available to get back into the cage will be this August.

Around The Octagon gives the following update:

"Earlier this week we caught up again with Cote and he now says that it will be August before he gets back in the octagon. Apparently the recovery process is taking a little longer that he had hoped. We asked Cote if he had talked to the UFC about an opponent or a specific date for the return and he said he hadn’t talked with the UFC about it yet."
